Cognitive Behavioral and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy has been shown to work with most disorders especially anxiety and depression.
This short term treatment method has clients feeling better almost immediately. When combined with homework assignments and practical exercises, clients learn life long self-help techniques. As an adjunct professor in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at New York University and Hunter College, and staff therapist/supervisor at The Albert Ellis Institute where Cognitive Behavioral Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy was developed, I have experience in innovative interventions for wide range of conditions.
I use a structured treatment that is empirically validated (research evidence that it works). Research shows that clients who participate in therapy and do the exercises, benefit from therapy as much as clients who take medications alone.
The focus of my practice is with severe mentally illness. That means that If I can effectively treat clients that are suicidal, I will be able to treat you.
